Event organised by Eastern Circles and Franco-British Special Forces Club
Mercredi 6 décembre, de 19h00 à 21h00
The panel will focus on military diplomacy, the integration of veterans, the feminization of the army, as well as the drone industry in Ukraine:
- Ukraine’s Military Diplomacy Amidst War and Middle East Developments: How is Ukraine shaping its military diplomacy strategy, and how has it evolved in response to the ongoing conflict and international developments in the Middle East?
- Human Resources and the Changing Face of the Army: What is the reality of human resource management in mobilizing a nation for large-scale conventional warfare, and how is the feminization of the army transforming the traditional military system?
- Impact of War Veterans on Civil Society: How have the thousands of war veterans impacted Ukrainian civil society, and how are the challenges they face being addressed, considering the country’s limited financial resources? What support structures are in place for veterans in Ukraine, and what measures exist to help individuals rebuild normal lives after experiencing the wounds of war?
- Development of Drone Warfare in Ukraine: How was drone warfare developed in Ukraine, and what is the current structure of the drone industry? In what ways do Ukrainian drones compare to Russian counterparts, and what role do European companies play in drone production on both sides of the conflict?
Our speakers for these topics are Ukrainian military experts and practitioners:
- Hanna Malyar, former Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense.
- Adriana Susak, head of the Movement of Women Veterans of Ukraine, sergeant in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
- Olena Tregub, Director of NAKO, the Ukrainian NGO working on corruption in UkrOboronProm.
